Adobe Creative Cloud is a service from Adobe Systems that gives users access to a collection of software for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, and Cloud services.[1] Creative Cloud is hosted on Amazon Web Services.

Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) works on a software as a service model, a monthly/annual subscription service based on the cloud[2][3]whereas Adobe Creative Suite (CS) is purchased via a perpetual software license.[4] The CC is downloaded once from the Internet, installed directly on a local PC and used as long as the subscription remains valid. While online updates and multiple languages are included in the CC subscription, the CS requires a fee for access to new features and services in only one language. Both products can coexist in the same environment, are compatible and available as a set of applications installed individually or collectively. Adobe first announced the Creative Cloud in October 2011.[5] Initially, they maintained the perpetual license model and released another version of Adobe Creative Suite (CS) the following year.
On May 6, 2013, Adobe announced that they would not release new versions of the Creative Suite and that future versions of its software would only be available through the Creative Cloud.[6][7][8] The first new versions made only for the Creative Cloud were released on June 17, 2013.[9]
On October 4, 2013, Adobe announced that hackers copied from their systems encrypted data of 2.9 million customers, including passwords, names and credit card numbers.[10][11] Hackers also stole source code of Adobe's software, consequently paving the way for further attacks.[12] On October 20, 2013 the number of compromised user-names/passwords was increased to 38 million, but could go as high as 150 million.[13]
The Adobe Creative Cloud retains the features of Adobe Creative Suite and introduces new features;[14] foremost is the instant availability of upgrades, saving to the cloud, and easier sharing. An Internet connection is required for using these features. The obvious feature change is the Live View Mode uses the WebKit rendering engine so that without execution of browser such as Safari and Chrome you can immediately preview the effect by click the Live View Button.
Reception
The change from perpetual licenses to a subscription model was met with significant criticism.[15][16][17]
However, Gartner positioned in 2013, the execution ability of Adobe's solutions at the highest position on its Magic Quadrant for Web content management.[18][19] This recognition confirms the positive evolution of the acceptance of the Cloud-based model suite Adobe Creative Cloud.[15][20][21][22]A quick guide to Creative Cloud.

CloudBioLinux is an open-source project providing machine images for bioinformatics on cloud computing platforms.[1] CloudBioLinux provides a build and deployment system which can deploy directly to desktop machines, to desktop Virtual Machines (VMs), or to cloud providers such as the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). The project also provides a pre-built Amazon Machine Image (AMI) for use on Amazon EC2, and downloadable pre-built virtual machine images for the desktop virtual machine software VirtualBox and for use on a private Eucalyptus cloud.

Cloud is a simplified operating system that runs just a web browser, providing access to a variety of web-based applications that allow the user to perform many simple tasks without booting a full-scale operating system. Because of its simplicity, Cloud can boot in just a few seconds.[1] The operating system is designed for Netbooks, Mobile Internet Devices, and PCs that are mainly used to browse the Internet. From Cloud the user can quickly boot into the main OS, because Cloud continues booting the main OS in the background.
